This is made out of OSB panel on the body and oak panel on top. 

This is standard 1/2" 5 ply plywood panel. 

This is birch plywood panel with OSB inserts.

These cajones are made from 5 ply bircch plywood although i also made some out of regular 1/2"plywood panel which i  experimented with because of the difference in the two different types of panels. It turned out very well
